Entercom has announced the hiring of Alan Furst as Program Director of News/Talk 98.1 KMBZ-FM and Conservative Talk “Talk 980” KMBZ Kansas City.
Furst most recently programmed Radio-One’s ill-fated “News 92” KROI Houston and has also held programming positions at WIBC Indianapolis, KAJA/KXXM San Antonio, and WLW Cincinnati along with corporate programming positions for Cumulus and Australian Radio Network. He replaces Jack Landreth, who exited after four years in the position at the end of January.
Entercom Kansas City announced today that it has appointed Alan Furst to take on the role of Program Director at 98.1fm KMBZ and Talk 980am. Furst will take the reins effective Monday, February 15.

Furst’s extensive radio career includes News and Talk experience consulting at stations such as WBZ Boston, and as Program Director, leading large news rooms at KROI Houston, WLW Cincinnati, WIBC Indianapolis and others.
