iHeartMedia St. Louis Names AJ SVP/Programming

AJ iHeartMedia SVPP St. Louis Richmond Norfolk Q94 WRVQ Mix 98.1 Z107.7 KSLZ Wild 104.9 KBWXThe man known simply as AJ is transferring to St. Louis as Senior VP Programming for iHeartMedia.

AJ has been with iHeart since 2012 most recently as SVP Programming of the company’s Norfolk and Richmond VA clusters and PD of CHR “Q94” 94.5 WRVQ and AC “Mix 98.1” WTVR-FM Richmond.. He also has programmed CHR’s “Hot 107.9” WWHT Syracuse and “Kiss 106.7” WKGS Rochester NY. His career also included thirteen years at Cumulus’ 97.1 WBHT Wilkes-Barre PA where he hosted nights, mornings, and afternoons at various times and six years as Program Director.

In St. Louis, AJ will oversee Country “93.7 The Bull” KSD, Classic Hip-Hop “100.3 The Beat” KMJM, Classic Hits 103.3 KLOU, Rhythmic CHR “Wild 104.9” KBWX, CHR “Z107.7” KSLZ, and Gospel “Hallelujah 1600” KATZ.

iHeartMedia St. Louis announced today that A.J. has been named Senior Vice President of Programming, effective August 15. iHeartMedia St. Louis has a strong cross-platform presence, massive consumer reach and includes a number of iconic brands and franchises — both broadcast and digital — including KSLZ-FM (CHR), KSD-FM (Country), KLOU- FM (Classic Hits), KMJM-FM (Throwback Hip Hop and R&B), KBWX-FM (Rhythmic CHR), KATZ (Gospel), and HDSKLOU-FM (Christian Contemporary) – and produces legendary marquee events including the Bull Float Trip produced by KSD-FM and Sista Strut produced by KMJM-FM and KATZ-FM
iHeartMedia’s success is built on its unmatched portfolio of talent and as one of iHeartMedia’s rising stars, A.J. will work closely with Beth Davis, Region President in the Central Division to oversee all programming in St. Louis.

As a member of iHeartMedia since April 2012, A.J. previously served as the Senior Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia’s Richmond and Norfolk market. Also during his tenure A.J. managed programming for multiple stations in New York including WWHT-FM in Syracuse and WKGS-FM in Rochester in addition to supervising WKKF-FM in Albany, WBNW-FM in Binghamton, and WJJS-FM in Roanoke, Virginia. Prior to joining iHeartMedia, A.J. held various leadership roles with WBHT Wilkes-Barre over the course of thirteen years.
