After 16 years with Cumulus Media, Maurcie DeVoe is exiting the company to join iHeartMedia as Program Director of Urban “100.3 The Beat” KMJM-FM Bridgeton MO/St. Louis.
DeVoe comes from Cumulus Kansas City where he was PD/midday host at Urban AC “Majik 107.3” KMJK North Kansas City and Corporate PD for Urban and Rhythmic formats. During his tenure with Cumulus, he also programmed CHR “95.7 The Vibe” KCHZ Kansas City and “i93.3” KLIF-FM Dallas and Operations Manager for the Kansas City cluster.
KMJM flipped from Classic Hip-Hop to Urban in September 2016. The station currently ranks 17th in the market with a 2.5 share.
iHeartMedia announced today that noted programming veteran Maurice DeVoe has joined its St. Louis market as Program Director for 100.3 The Beat, STL’s Hip Hop and R&B, effective June 5. 100.3 The Beat has a strong cross- platform presence and broadcasts several popular programs and personalities including The Breakfast Club, Tammie Holland, Osei The Dark Secret, T-Roy, Mishelae and Papa Keith – and produces legendary marquee events including Sista Strut.
iHeartMedia has massive consumer reach and influence across multiple platforms and delivers more live programming than any other media company, and DeVoe will be responsible for the day-to-day programming operations of 100.3 The Beat. He will work closely with on-air personalities and sales to oversee the station’s on-air content, digital footprint and music programming.

DeVoe joins iHeartMedia from Cumulus Media, where he served as Corporate Program Director for its Urban and Rhythmic formats and Program Director of KMJK-FM in Kansas City, Missouri. He has over 30 years of radio experience, including 16 years as a Program Director, and has programmed Mainstream Urban, Urban AC, Top 40 and Rhythmic Top 40 formats in Philadelphia, Houston, Dallas and other markets. In 2016, DeVoe was named one of the Top 50 Program Directors in America by Radio Ink.
