Rincon Broadcasting has flipped two of its stations in Santa Barbara CA.
Spanish Oldies “La Musical 1490” KSPE Santa Barbara has moved to 94.5 replacing CHR “Z94.5” KFYZ Ellwood. The station had quietly replaced its long-running Spanish Adult Hits “La Preciosa” with “La Musical” earlier this summer.
Replacing KSPE on 1490 and its new 94.1 K231CR Santa Barbara translator is Rhythmic Oldies “Old School“. KSPE joins the network of Point/Rincon Broadcasting stations running the Rhythmic Oldies programming including 104.7 KOCP Oxnard, 104.7 KQIE Redlands/Riverside, 93.5 KQAV Rosamond/Lancaster and 99.1 KXFM Santa Maria. 1490 is now operating under KOSJ call letters.
KFYZ’s CHR programming registered a 1.8 share in the Spring 2017 Nielsen Audio ratings down from a 2.4 in the Fall. KSPE held a 2.4 share on 1490 down from a 3.6 in the Fall.
