ESPN Radio has announced that Ryen Russillo will exit his daily afternoon show at the end of this week and the network upon the expiration of his contract next year.
Russillo currently hosts the 1-4pm eastern show on ESPN Radio and was set to move to 3-6pm with new co-host Will Cain on January 2. Until the expiration of his contract in the summer of 2018, Russillo will host a weekly podcast for the network.
Russillo joined ESPN in 2008 and has hosted or co-hosted the early afternoon slot since 2009 when he joined Scott Van Pelt’s show as co-host, a pairing that would last until 2015. Former NFL quarterback Danny Kanell served as his co-host from 2015 until his exit in the ESPN layoff’s this summer.
