Ryan Cameron announced this morning that he is exiting mornings at Entercom Urban “V103” 103.3 WVEE Atlanta.
Cameron has been hosting mornings at the station since 2012 after spending seven years in afternoons. He began his career at WVEE in 1990 as an intern and later became night host until jumping to Radio-One for a brief stint at 93.9 WKYD Washington DC before returning to Atlanta to launch “Hot 97.5” WHTA in 1995 as morning host. He would stay at WHTA through its move to 107.9 until returning to WVEE in 2005.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that Cameron will be joining Atlanta based branding company Rakanter as a partner, while remaining the in-arena voice for the NBA’s Atlanta Hawks. His final day at WVEE will be Friday, February 2 upon the expiration of his contract.
Would Entercom replace Ryan Cameron with a syndicated morning show??
