Bradford-Ratliff Media To Launch Urban 96.5 The Box Little Rock

A new Urban will debut in Little Rock on August 1.

Former “Streetz 101.1” KZTS General Manager Joel ‘DJ No Name” Ratliff Sr. and Al Bradford will begin an LMA of Crain Media Group’s 96.5 KHTE-FM England AR and launch “96.5 The Box“. Ratliff previously worked on air at KHTE-FM during its run as Urban “Hot 96.5” in the late 2000s.

The new station will feature Premiere Networks’ syndicated Breakfast Club in mornings and Big Boy in afternoons. James Cain will serve as Program Director and Music Director. The company is emphasizing that it will focus on breaking local artists.

KHTE-FM has been operated via LMA by Salem Media as “96.5 The Answer” until the end of March when the company moved the format to newly acquired 101.1 KZTS. The new Urban format will compete against Cumulus Media’s “Power 92.3” KIPR and Core Communicators “Streetz 105.5” 1380 KZTS/105.5 K288EZ Little Rock
