Entercom has announced new Program Directors for Alternative “FM 101.9” WQMP and Hot AC “Mix 105.1” WOMX Orlando.
Dana Taylor, who has been at WOMX since 1994 and most recently served as Assistant Program Director and morning co-host, has been promoted to Program Director of that station. During her 24 year tenure at the station she has held positions in every daypart except afternoon drive and served as Music Director.
The PD role at “FM 101.9” WQMP will be filled by John O’Connell. O’Connell will retain his duties programming Country 99.9 WKIS and Alternative “104.3 The Shark” WSFS Miami. He has also programmed Classic Hits “102.7 The Beach” WMXJ Miami, “98.7 The Fan” WHFS Tampa, and had a long run at “103.1 The Buzz” WPBZ West Palm Beach which he launched in 1995.
Additionally, Melissa ‘Mel’ Leigh-Sorrentino will add Assistant Program Director duties to her role as MD/midday host at WQMP. Both appointments fill the opening created by Dennis Martinez’ exit in February.
