iHeartMedia Country “Big 95.5” WEBG Chicago has announced that Lisa Dent will take the 9am-12pm weekday morning slot effective immediately.
Dent, who had been hosting weekends on WEBG, spent fourteen years at Entercom Country “US 99” 99.5 WUSN from 2002-2016 first in middays and then a decade in mornings. She fills the timeslot that had most recently been held by Amber ‘Alabama’ Cole, who according to Robert Feder, obtained an early release from her contract for personal reasons.
iHeartMedia Chicago announced today that Lisa Dent has been named midday host for BIG 95.5, Chicago’s New Country, effective immediately. Dent will broadcast weekdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Dent most recently served as BIG 95.5’s weekend host and prior to that co-hosted mornings on WUSN-FM in Chicago for ten years. In 2017, Dent launched her first business, Lisa Dent Speaks, LLC, inspired from her popular social media series #LunchwithLisa and built her own studio, The Radio Farm. She is an award-winning personality, podcaster, voice actor, speaker, wife and mother. In 2016, Dent was inducted into the Country Radio Hall of Fame. She also currently serves on the PAWS Chicago Board of Directors and Illinois Arts Council.
“I am so excited to welcome Lisa Dent as midday host for BIG 95.5,” said Matt Scarano, President of iHeartMedia Markets Group’s Chicago Region. “She brings an iconic presence to our team and will be a tremendous asset to our listeners, community and advertisers.”
“We are thrilled to now have Lisa Dent on BIG 95.5 full-time,” said Lance Houston, BIG 95.5 Program Director. “Lisa is one of the most talented and engaging personalities in Chicago radio history and we are extremely lucky to have her. We heard you Chicagoland and we are just as excited as you to hear Lisa every weekday morning.”“I think Chicago is the best city in America,” said Dent. “It’s home for me, and I’m so happy to be back on the radio every day in the city I love, on BIG 95.5, a radio station I love.”
