This is to announce that a contract has been signed and an application has been filed with the FCC for the transfer of radio stations WLYV-AM and W282CH, Ft. Wayne, Indiana from Adams Radio Group, LLC to Brian Walsh of Warsaw Indiana.
The Seller, Adams Radio Group, LLC, is a Minnesota-based company headed by Ron Stone. Adams Radio Group owns stations serving Indiana, New Mexico, Maryland, and Florida.
The Buyer, Brian Walsh, is owner of WIOE-FM, South Whitley, operating from Warsaw Indiana.WLYV-AM operates at 1450 kHz, with 1 kW day/night. W282CH-FX operates at 104.3 MHz, with .25 kW at 285” HAAT.
A neat little piece of (now related) trivia here. WIOE used to be an LPFM station. It had done sooo well, Walsh was able to buy the 101.1 signal (which has sat silent for awhile) and move WIOE there, selling the LPFM to another group. 🙂
