Donald Stewart Davenport’s Port Broadcasting is divesting 107.1 WLGF Gulfport/Biloxi MS to Educational Media Foundation for $362,000. Davenport purchased WLGF (then WXYK) from Alpha Media for $300,000 in December 2018 as part of that cluster’s sale to Telesouth Communications. The station began airing EMF’s “K-Love” network in March upon the closing of the sale.
Centro Cristiano de Vida Eterna is swapping their Construction Permit for a new FM on 106.1 in Matagorda TX to Elohim Group Corporation for 94.1 W231CX Shirley NY and 94.3 W232CK Gary IN. The 106.1 CP expires on June 15 but applied this week to relocate to a new site and upgrade from a Class A to C3.
Tom Gay’s Little River Radio Company sells Classic Country 102.7 KJNA-FM Jena LA to Kim Cloessner’s Cloessner News & Broadcasting for $275,000. Cloessner and her husband Dan own the local Catahoula News Booster newspaper and she serves as Publisher and Editor.
Juan Alberto Ayala is transferring construction permits for 100.3 K262DK Muscatel/Fresno CA and 107.9 K300DU Greenshores/Austin TX to Dan Alpert’s Ginger Broadcasting for no consideration. Alpert is a longtime communications attorney who previously represented Ayala.
