Northwestern Media will pay $9,901,558.34 for the Illinois District Council of Assemblies of God’s New Life Media stations. Northwestern will also receive $200,000 worth of underwriting announcements on the stations for the twelve months following closing of the deal.

Original Report 8/5: University of Northwestern-St. Paul’s Northwestern Media is in rapid expansion mode throughout the midwest.
After donation of Refuge Media Group’s three stations and 13 translators last month, Northwestern Media is purchasing the Illinois District Council of Assemblies of God’s New Life Media for an undisclosed amount.
The deal will add thirteen stations and eight translators that are currently split as two Christian AC networks based at 91.5 WCIC Pekin/Peoria and 91.7 WBGL Champaign. The stations cover much of downstate Illinois as well as portions of the Quad Cities and St. Louis markets.
Northwestern Media will own 81 licenses in 13 markets upon closing of the deal. The group owns Christian music stations in markets such as Minneapolis, Des Moines, Fargo, Madison and Kansas City.
