Latino Mix Returns To The Bay Area
After stunting with loops of J Balvin’s “Reggaeton” and Vicente Fernandez’s “Volver Volver” over the weekend, Univision flipped Rhythmic CHR “Hot 105.7/100.7” KVVF Santa Clara/KVVZ San Rafael CA to Spanish Rhythmic “Latino Mix 105.7/100.7” at noon on Monday.
Positioned as “The Bay Area’s New Home for Reggaeton Y Mas”, the change brings back the branding the stations used from 2011 until 2014.

Original Report 9/1: Univision Rhythmic CHR “Hot 105.7/100.7” KVVF Santa Clara/KVVZ San Rafael CA is stunting with a loop of two songs as it prepares to debut a new format on Monday.
The station is repeating J Balvin’s “Reggaeton” and Vicente Fernandez’s “Volver Volver” with occasional sweepers pointing to a new format debut at noon on Labor Day. The songs seem to indicate a “return” of the Spanish Rhythmic format the station held from 2003 to 2014 under the “Viva“, “La Kalle” and “Latino Mix” monikers. Unlike the last time the station stunted in 2014 with a loop of Nelly’s “Hot In Herre”, the current stunt loop on the stations has not gone viral and generated national attention.
KVVF/KVVZ registered a 0.9 share in San Francisco and 2.7 in San Jose in the July 2019 Nielsen Audio ratings.
