After leasing two stations in Georgetown SC with multiple format changes over the past year, Creative Coast Media has returned 1400 WGTN/107.5 W298CO and 93.7 WYAY Georgetown to their owners with another format change accompanying both.
Waccamaw Broadcasting resumed its operation of 1400 WGTN/107.5 W298CO and flipped the station to Comedy branded as “The Comedy Station” on January 1. WGTN had flipped from News/Talk to Country in November 2018 and then CHR in January 2019 then back to Country.
93.7 WYAY has returned to Androlunis Media as Country “Carolina Country” simulcasting 93.9 WMIR Conway. Then WXJY, the station began simulcasting WGTN in February, flipped to Rock in July and then back to Country in August at which time it adopted the WYAY call letters.
