Former “V103” WVEE Atlanta morning host Frank Ski is joining Cox Media Group Adult R&B “Kiss 104.1” WALR-FM Palmetto/Atlanta for mornings on February 1, 2021.
Ski exited WVEE for the second time in July. He had hosted mornings there from 1998 until 2012 and then returned in February 2018. Prior to coming to Atlanta, Ski spent a decade in Baltimore working at “V103” WXYV and “92Q” WERQ where he was also influential in the then strong Baltimore house music scene of the late 80s and early 90s. His 1993 song “Whores in This House” was notably sampled in Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s “WAP” this year.
Since exiting WVEE, Ski has also been hosting afternoons at Howard University R&B 96.3 WHUR Washington DC with longtime producer/co-host Nina Brown.
KISS 104.1 (WALR-FM/Atlanta) welcomes legendary radio host Frank Ski back to Atlanta, hosting mornings beginning on February 1, 2021, Monday – Friday 6a.m-10a.m.
‘The Frank Ski Show’ has been a top-rated radio program since 1985, with record breaking performances in Baltimore, Atlanta and Washington D.C on WHUR, where Frank currently anchors afternoon drive. Ski’s distinctive hosting style and sense of humor, balances music with celebrity guests and discussions of culture, local and national headlines, and topical subject matter. Off the air, Frank works tirelessly to engage the audience and deliver support to community organizations throughout Atlanta, and the nation. Frank Ski is also signed to a global publishing deal with Sony/ATV Music Publishing. He is known for his impressive catalogue of hip-hop, rap, gospel, and Baltimore club-music, which has greatly influenced some of hip-hop’s most memorable singles. One of his popular songs was recently sampled in the No.1 Billboard Hot 100 single “WAP” by Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion which won an American Music Award for Favorite Song Rap/Hip-Hop, and as well as the 2018 hit “In This House” by Lil Wayne and Gucci Mane.
