89.3 KSBJ HoustonNielsen begins its monthly release of PPM ratings with today’s Day 1 update including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston/Galveston, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Long Island, Riverside/San Bernardino, San Jose, and Middlesex/Somerset/Union.

iHeartMedia AC “106.7 Lite-FM” WLTW’s lead in New York narrows as it falls 7.1 to 6.3. MediaCo Adult R&B 107.5 WBLS and Audacy Classic Hits 101.1 WCBS-FM both rise 5.8 to 6.1. SBS Spanish Tropical “Mega 97.9” WSKQ slips 5.3 to 5.1 with an additional 1.0 from its stream, while iHeartMedia Classic Rock “Q104.3” WAXQ falls 4.7 to 4.5.

Audacy Sports 660 WFAN/101.9 WFAN-FM jumps up 2.4 to 3.1 with an additional 0.8 coming from its stream, while Hot AC “New 102.7” WNEW rises 2.9 to 3.4

Audacy Classic Hits “K-Earth 101” KRTH continues to lead Los Angeles while sliding 6.1 to 5.9. iHeartMedia News/Talk 640 KFI holds steady at a 5.7. iHeart AC 103.5 KOST slips 5.3 to 5.0. Audacy Rhythmic AC “94.7 The Wave” KTWV places fourth 4.5 to 4.3 and Variety Hits “93.1 Jack-FM” KCBS-FM rises 4.0 to 4.2.

The start of the baseball season sees jumps in multiple markets. Los Angeles Dodgers and iHeartMedia co-owned Sports 570 KLAC rises 0.8 to 1.7 behind the defending champions.

Relaunching as “97.1 Now” KNOU halfway through the monthly, the Audacy CHR formerly known as “Amp 97.1” KAMP rises 1.2 to 1.4. Meruelo Media Rhythmic CHR “Power 106” KPWR trends downward 1.7 – 1.5 – 1.4.

iHeartMedia Adult R&B “V103” WVAZ rises up 6.3 to 6.9 to retain its Chicago market lead. Audacy News 780 WBBM/105.9 WCFS rises 6.2 to 6.3. iHeartMedia AC “93.9 Lite-FM” WLIT paces third down 5.7 to 5.6. Hubbard Classic Rock “97.1 The Drive” WDRV is up 4.7 to 5.1 to place fourth, while Public News/Talk 91.5 WBEZ is up 4.7 to 4.9.

Public News/Talk 88.5 KQED-FM trends downward 10.6 – 9.8 – 8.7 but stays on top of San Francisco. Audacy News 740 KCBS/106.9 KFRC also trends downward 7.5 – 6.8 – 6.1. iHeartMedia Soft AC “98.1 The Breeze” KISQ rebounds 3.8 to 4.5 for third. The San Francisco Giants help Cumulus Sports 680 KNBR/104.5 KNBR-FM to surge up 2.9 – 3.2 – 4.3, while Bonneville AC 96.5 KOIT trends down 5.1 – 4.6 – 4.3.

The lead in Dallas narrows with what Ratings Expert Chris Huff notes is the lowest high share for a market leader. iHeartMedia Classic Rock 92.5 KZPS rises 4.4 to 4.8 to take the market lead for the first time since February 2018. Cumulus Media’s “New Country 96.3” KSCS slips 4.9 to 4.6 but moves up to second. Three stations tie for third at a 4.4. Audacy Classic Hits 98.7 KLUV and Variety Hits “100.3 Jack-FM” KJKK are both up 4.1 to 4.4, while iHeartMedia CHR “106.1 Kiss-FM” KHKS slips from a 4.6 to 4.4. Three stations also tie at a 4.1. iHeartMedia AC “Star 102.1” KDGE drops from #1 at a 5.3 to 4.1, Salem Christian AC 94.9 KLTY drops from 5.0 to 4.1, and Cumulus Country “99.5 The Wolf” KPLX is down 4.7 to 4.1.

Univision Regional Mexican “Que Buena 94.1” KLNO slips from second at 5.2 down to 3.9. Unrelated to the baseball boosts at other Sports stations, Cumulus’ “96.7/1310 The Ticket” KTCK/KTCK-FM rebounds 4.1 – 2.6 – 3.5.

Hope Media Christian AC 89.3 KSBJ takes the Houston market lead with a 5.9 to 6.8 jump. iHeartMedia AC “Sunny 99.1” KODA moves the other way down 7.7 to 6.7. Univision Regional Mexican “Que Buena 102.9” KLTN is up 6.3 to 6.5. Cox Media Classic Rock “107.5/106.9 The Eagle” KGLK/KHPT holds steady at a 5.7, and iHeartMedia News/Talk 740 KTRH falls to fifth 5.8 to 5.5.

Audacy Hot AC “Mix 96.5” KHMX drops 4.3 to 3.3. In what will be its final full monthly after today’s format change to Gospel, Radio One CHR “Radio Now 92.1” KROI holds steady at a 0.8.

Cox Media News/Talk 750 WSB/95.5 WSBB continues it dominance of Atlanta rising 9.2 to 9.6. Cox Classic Rock “97.1 The River” WSRV surges up 6.4 to 7.5 (plus 0.5 from its stream), while sister Adult R&B “Kiss 104.1” WALR slips 6.2 to 5.9 but adds an additional 0.9 from its stream. Audacy Hip Hop/R&B “V103” WVEE and Radio One Gospel “Praise 102.5” WPZE both rise 4.7 to 5.0.

Cox AC “B98.5” WSB-FM falls out of the top five slipping 5.3 to 4.7, while Salem Christian AC “104.7 The Fish” WFSH trends up 3.7 – 4.1 – 4.5.

The CHR lead in Atlanta narrows as Cumulus’ “Q99.7” WWWQ slips 4.0 to 3.6, while iHeartMedia’s “Power 96.1” WWPW rises 2.4 to 2.9.

The co-flagships of the Atlanta Braves move in opposite directions. Dickey Broadcasting Sports “680/93.7 The Fan” WCNN is up 1.5 to 2.4, while Cumulus’ “Rock 100.5” WNNX slides 2.3 to 1.8.

iHeartMedia Adult R&B 105.3 WDAS-FM continues its dominance of Philadelphia with an 8.1 to 8.6 gain. Beasley’s duo of Rock 93.3 WMMR (7.0 to 6.8) and Classic Rock 102.9 WMGK (6.0 to 6.2) both rise. Audacy Sports 94.1 WIP rises to fourth with a 5.3 to 5.7 boost with its stream adding an additional 1.1 share, while co-owned News 1060 KYW/103.9 WPHI slips 6.0 to 5.5.

Trending up in Philadelphia is Audacy Classic Hits 98.1 WOGL 3.9 to 4.5, while iHeartMedia’s pair of Soft AC “106.1 The Breeze” WISX (4.7 to 3.6) and CHR “Q102” WIOQ (4.4 to 3.5) move down.

Anaheim Broadcasting Classic Hits 99.9 KOLA-FM trends up 4.2 – 5.5 – 6.6 to retake the Riverside/San Bernardino lead. Entravision Spanish Adult Hits “Jose 97.5” KLYY slides down to second 6.4 to 5.8. Estrella Media Regional Mexican “Que Buena 96.1” KRQB moves up to third 4.5 to 4.7. Univision Spanish AC “K-Love 107.5” KLVE Los Angeles is fourth down 5.0 to 4.5. Audacy Country “95.1 K-Frog” KFRG trends up to fifth 3.7 – 4.1 – 4.4.
