Rubber City Radio Group dropped the “Jeny” brand from Alternative 107.3 WNWV Elyria/Cleveland OH in favor of “107.3 Alternative Cleveland” today.
The move marks the end of the just over two year old “Jeny” brand. Debuting in January 2020 after a big “#WhoIsJeny” billboard campaign to tease the launch, the station debuted with a Modern AC format targeted at millennial females aka “Gen Y”. By October 2020, the station had shifted to Alternative a few months after iHeartMedia’s “Alt 99.1” W256BT/WMMS-HD2 became one of the launch affiliates of the “Black Information Network“. WNWV moved to a jockless presentation in November 2021 with its airstaff moving to other Rubber City Radio Group stations.
