Danny Meyers has exited mornings at iHeartMedia CHR “G105” WDCG as part of iHeartMedia’s ongoing layoffs.
Meyers joined WDCG in February 2020 after previously serving as PD/morning host at Rhythmic AC “Movin 107.7” WMOV-FM Norfolk VA. He also spent fourteen years co-hosting mornings at Mel Wheeler CHR “K92” WXLK-FM Roanoke VA as well as stints in mornings at Hot AC “Mix 95.7” WMWX Philadelphia, nights at 95.5 WPLJ New York and was APD/MD/night host at Rhythmic AC “Star 93.7” WQSX Boston.
In an Instagram post Meyers wrote, “Here it is…my official goodbye from @g105radio. But hopefully not from radio…it’s my only marketable skill! Thank you so much for listening and joining in with our unique brand of nonsense every morning. We have shared lots of laughs…and too many tears over the last 3+ years together. I will never forget any of it. To @benontheradio and @meghanonthemic the teammates who have blessed my life on and off the air…I love you and I thank you so much. To the team at @ihmraleigh and iHeartRadio, thank you so much for taking a chance on me, it has been an absolute blast. And to every “listener friend”…hang on…there will be another chapter. All my best to all of you!”
