iHeartMedia’s “Kiss 107.1” WKFS Milford/Cincinnati OH has joined the growing number of CHR stations shifting to a gold-heavy presentation.
WKFS is still playing 3-4 currents per hour, but has removed all of its recurrents and recent golds replacing them with golds mostly from 2000 to 2010. Imaging makes references to “The Kiss You Love Is Back” and positioning has shifted from “Cincinnati’s #1 Hit Music Station” to “Your Summer Party Station”.
WKFS rose from a 1.9 to a 2.1 share in the May 2023 Nielsen Audio ratings placing it fifteenth overall in the Cincinnati market, but way behind Hubbard CHR “Q102” 101.9 WKRQ, which placed fifth after a 6.6 to 5.9 drop last month.
The 8:00am hour on Wednesday, July 5 on “Kiss 107.1” featured:

Hey- -hits are hits. Got no good NEW hits? Plug in some old ones. How many weeks did “Blinding Lights” make it as a current? In some cases it still does. It’s a good move to make sure your listener is hearing a favorite every time they punch up your frequency. No time these days to experiment.
