KFYI Phoenix & KNST Tucson To Simulcast Morning & Afternoon Shows

Lance Ventaby Lance Venta
December 12, 2023

News Talk 550 KFYI PhoenixiHeartMedia Conservative Talkers 550 KFYI Phoenix and 790 KNST Tucson are synchronizing their weekday lineups starting immediately.

KFYI morning host James T. Harris will air on both stations from 6-10am, while KNST morning host Garret Lewis will move to afternoons in both markets from 4-7pm. Both stations air Premiere Networks’ Clay Travis & Buck Sexton from 10am-1pm and Sean Hannity from 1-4pm. Evenings are identical with Glenn Beck from 7-10pm and Coast to Coast with George Noory from 10pm-2am.

The move marks a return to Tucson for Harris, who spent seven years in afternoons at 104.1 KQTH before joining KFYI in January 2018. He moved from afternoons to mornings in March 2020. Lewis has hosted mornings at KNST since 2010. He previously worked as a producer at KFYI and sister Sports 910 KGME before spending five years hosting in Waco TX.

790 KNST TucsonLewis fills the afternoon slot at KFYI that had been held by Mike Russell following co-host Rob Hunter’s departure earlier this year. KNST had been airing Westwood One’s Mark Levin in the 4-7pm timeslot.

iHeartMedia Tucson’s News Talk 550 KFYI, The Valley’s Talk Station, and News Talk 790 KNST, Tucson’s Most Stimulating Talk, announced today the multi-market expansion of “The Conservative Circus with James T. Harris” and “The Afternoon Addiction with Garret Lewis,” effective immediately.

“The Conservative Circus with James T. Harris” will broadcast in both Phoenix and Tucson from 6am – 10am.“The Afternoon Addiction with Garrett Lewis” moves from morning drive to afternoons and will now broadcast in Phoenix as well as Tucson from 4pm – 7pm

“James T and Garret have die-hard fans on 550 KFYI in Phoenix and 790 KNST in Tucson. Combining James and Garret on both stations puts the two biggest conservative voices in Arizona in prime day parts to better serve both markets,” said Linda Little, iHeartMedia Market President.

“Garret Lewis has been the number one conservative host in southern Arizona for over a decade. His large following and political impact will only grow with this move,” said Steve Earnhart, iHeartMedia Area President – Southwest. “We’re thrilled to welcome James T Harris back to Tucson. This one-two punch of top-tier talent will make 790 KNST bigger and better than ever — for listeners and clients.”
