A legal settlement will see Yash and Shilpa Pandya transfer his 50% stake in Om Sai Broadcasting LLC and its 540 WBWD Islip NY as well as their stakes in Om Sai Media & Entertainment LLC, DB Media USA LLC, Radio Zindagi LLC, and Indian Eye USA LLA to former partners Sejal Dasondi and Sunil Hali for $675,000. Om Sai Broadcasting acquired WBWD in December 2020 for $700,000 to carry their South Asian “Radio Zindagi” programming also heard on 1310 WXMC Parsipanny-Troy Hills/96.7 W244DU Edison NJ and 1550 KZDG San Francisco CA.
After closing on its $1,125,000 purchase of Forever Communications’ four stations in Bowling Green KY, Seven Mountains Media is exercising its $10 option to convert the LMA on Royse Radio’s 1490 WCLU/98.5 W253BN Glasgow and 102.3 WLLI Munfordville/103.1 W276DO Glasgow to a purchase. All of the stations in the deal simulcast Seven Mountains Classic Country “Big Willie” 94.1 WLYE-FM Glasgow, which both simulcast WLYE-FM. Forever and Seven Mountains have operated the stations via a $416.66 per month Time Brokerage Agreement since 2019.
Sonya Hernandez purchases Great Country Broadcasting and its Country 100.7 KIBS and Classic Hits 1230 KBOV Bishop CA from Lauren Brandt and Steve Miller for $550,000. Hernandez has served as an account executive and morning co-host at KIBS since October 2021.
Maryland Media One sells 93.9 WGLD-FM Conway/Myrtle Beach SC to Christy Andrulonis’ Sweet Tea Radio LLC for $605,000. A Time Brokerage Agreement took effect on January 1 when the station flipped to Country “Carolina Country” bringing back the format the buyers programmed on the station until selling it to Maryland Media One in 2021. Sweet Tea Radio is also in the process of reacquiring 106.3 WYAY Bolivia NC.
Calvary Chapel of Westmoreland County donates its CP for 91.7 WLWG Mount Pleasant PA to Grace FM Inc. for no consideration. The new parent organization is a partnership of the donee and Bob Stevens’ Broadcast Educational Communications.
American Christian Radio Inc. acquires the CP for 90.7 KYPT Minot ND from Berean Baptist Church for $1.
Translator Sales
CSN International sells 96.7 W244DF Logansport IN to Calvary Radio Network for $100. If Calvary were to resell the translator, CSN would receive 50% of the proceeds. The translator will continue to rebroadcast Calvary’s 89.9 WHLP Hanna IN.
