Audacy Country “100.7 The Wolf” KKWF Seattle’s “The Morning Wolfpack” featuring Matt McAllister, Gabe Mercer, and ‘Captain Ron’ Koons are joining sister Country 107.9 KMLE Chandler/Phoenix AZ in afternoons.
Billed in Arizona as “Matt, Gabe & Captain Ron”, the move marks a return to Phoenix for McAllister as he previously hosted mornings at iHeartMedia Country 102.5 KNIX Phoenix from 2008 until 2016. Prior to that, he spent a decade at Rock 99.9 KTYD Santa Barbara CA. Mercer is also known in the market as she worked in the Audacy Phoenix cluster from 2018 until joining KKWF in 2022 with roles in promotions, sales and on-air including hosting nights at KMLE and had been tracking 10am to 12pm at the station.
With the addition of the new afternoon show, Audacy Regional VP/Country Drew Bland, who oversees programming for both KMLE and KKWF, will move to the 10am-12pm timeslot. “Gunner & Cheyenne” remain in mornings with Audacy’s syndicated Katie Neal from 12-3pm and “”Rob & Holly” at night.
