Audacy Hot AC “99.1 The Mix” WMYX Milwaukee is filling its afternoon vacancy with the addition of Jay Michaels remotely from Houston.

Michaels, the Assistant Brand Manager of Variety Hits “95.7 The Spot” KKHH and Hot AC “Mix 96.5” KHMX, the latter of which he hosts middays, will debut on Monday, November 25. He notes this is a reunion for him with WMYX Assistant Brand Manager/midday host Taylor Vaughn as the duo previously hosted mornings together at WMGI Terre Haute IN in 2010.

Prior to joining Audacy Houston in May 2023, Michaels was Operations Manager of Cumulus Media Shreveport and PD/morning host for Hot AC “Q97.3” KQHN. He also spent seven years at Cumulus Indianapolis as PD of CHR “Energy 93.9” WYRG, its previous iteration as “i94” and Classic Hip Hop “93.9 The Beat” WRWM and Classic Hits 104.5 WJJK. He has also worked at WDJX Louisville and WSTO Evansville IN.

He fills the afternoon opening created by Tim Lethlean’s departure at the end of October.
