One day after exiting Cox Media Group Country “Y100” KCYY San Antonio, Tucker ‘Frito’ Young and Katy Dempsey have joined Audacy Country “100.3 The Bull” KILT-FM Houston as morning hosts starting Friday, January 10.
Frito and Katy spent exactly three years in San Antonio after joining KCYY from from Bryan Broadcasting CHR “Candy 95” KNDE College Station TX where they hosted mornings, while Young was cluster Operations Manager and Dempsey was PD. Frito originally joined Bryan Broadcasting as a news reporter in 2003 before rising to Promotions Director in 2005 and OM/PD in 2008. After leaving in 2017 for a position outside radio, he returned five months later as Director of Operations and returning to mornings. Dempsey joined KNDE as a weekend host in 2011 before quickly moving up to middays. She moved to mornings alongside Young and added Promotions Director duties in 2013 and rose to Program Director following his first departure in 2017. A Houston native, Dempsey began her career at Cox Media Houston.
The show won the 2024 CMA Award for Best Major Market Personality and they previously won a 2021 Marconi Award, several Crystal awards and the Bonner McLane Award for Community Service from the Texas Association of Broadcasters while at KNDE.

George Lindsey, Monica ‘Mo’ Lundsford, and Erik Scott Smith until their exits before Christmas.
