Cuts At Cumulus Minneapolis

Lance Ventaby Lance Venta
March 4, 2025

92 KQRS 92.5 MinneapolisAt least two cuts took place on Monday at Cumulus Media Minneapolis.

Brian Zepp has exited as co-host of the KQRS Morning Show at Classic Rock 92.5 KQRS. Zepp originally was part of the Tom Barnard Show in mornings and then co-hosted afternoons with Terri Traen from 1997 until 2017. He then returned to the station as morning co-host in March 2020. In between, he hosted mornings at Orion Media Classic Rock “104.7/105.7 The Eagle” KBZM Big Sky/KKQX Manhattan MT. Steve Gorman and Ryder remain in mornings.

At Rock “93X” KXXR, Andrew Wappel exits as producer and co-host of “The Half Assed Morning Show” and evening voicetracker. Wappel has been with KXXR since 2012 starting as board-op for the show. He wrote on Facebook, “By now most of you have heard the news. I’m no longer with 93x and Cumulus media. I didn’t get fired and didn’t do anything wrong. I was let go. 93x was my first big boy job out of Brown college 12.5 years and I’m thankful for the opportunity and all the awesome people I’ve met along the way. Thank you to all the listeners. You are the reason why I did what I did, and for so long. Thank you for taking an intrest in my life and listening to my stories. It really sucks I couldn’t say bye and thank you over the air. I’m seeing what a lot of you are saying, yes it sucks but I will move on from this. Im not looking at this like a negative. It will be a positive and i will move on from this. If you see me out and about, say hi! I’m still going to be around. Till we meet again Minnesota. Till we meet again!”
