Great Eastern Radio will acquire “Eagle Country 97.5” WTNN Bristol/Burlington VT from John Fuller’s Impact Radio for $120,000.
The deal includes an immediate LMA, which took effect on Wednesday, April 1. WTNN will join a Great Eastern cluster in Burlington/Plattsburgh that includes fellow Country “Froggy 104.3/100.9” WJKS Keeseville NY/WWFY Berlin VT, Classic Rock “107.1 Frank-FM” WWFK Plattsburgh West NY/100.9 WRFK Barre VT, and AC “The Penguin” 97.9 WSNO-FM Au Sable NY/1450 WSNO and 105.7 W289CH Barre VT.
Should WTNN or WJKS drop Country, the Burlington/Plattsburgh market will have gone from four Country stations to two as Vox AM/FM flipped “101.3 The Wolf” WCPV Essex NY to a simulcast of News/Talk 620 WVMT Burlington VT last month the aforementioned two and Hall’s 98.9 WOKO. None of the Country operators subscribe to Nielsen, while in the February Eastlan Ratings, WOKO led the market with a 15.7 share followed by WTNN at a 4.4 share and WJKS at a 2.9.
