Radio One Country “93Q” KKBQ-FM Pasadena/Houston TX is seeking a new midday host as Gerardo Sproet has exited after a year and a half in the timeslot.
A Houston native, Sproet spent his entire career at KKBQ starting in promotions in 2019. He would first go on-air in 2022 and rose to evening host in July 2023 before moving to middays in January 2025. Sproet can be reached at Gerardosproet@gmail.com.
KKBQ is looking for an on-air host who will be “fun, compelling, talented, professional and understand how to create great radio in a PPM-friendly environment”. The candidate should excel in all areas of social media / digital including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, Website, etc. Applicants should have at least five years of on-air experience, understand PPM audience measurement, FCC rules and regulations, and will have the proven ability to work hand-in-hand with the sales, promotions, digital and production departments.
