Great Plains Media’s Cookeville Communications has flipped CHR “98.5 Kiss-FM” WKSW Cookeville TN to Classic Rock “Classic Rock 98.5“.
The new format places the station up against Stonecom’s “Rock 93.7” WBXE Baxter with a lineup led off by Compass Media Networks’ Dave & Mahoney. Cluster General Manager Jason Grider will follow in middays. Current Classic Hits “106.1 The Eagle” 780 WPTN afternoon and evening hosts Hoseppy and Troy Ameen are listed in the same timeslots.
The new brand launched just before noon with The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights” giving way to a launch package followed by AC/DC “For Those About To Rock (We Salute You)”, The Kinks “Destroyer”, and The Who “Squeeze Box”.
