Radio Training Network, which operates multiple Christian AC networks across the southeast, is purchasing three signals from Cumulus Media for S2.45 million.
Radio Training Network will acquire 97.9 W250BC Atlanta, Classic Country “93.3 Nash Icon” WWFF-FM New Market/Huntsville AL, and Sports “100.5 The Game” WWFN-FM Marion/Florence SC. The first two signals will likely join RTN’s “The Joy FM” network heard on signals in Alabama, Florida, and Georgia along with individual stations. in Aiken SC and Chattanooga TN. WWFN-FM fits in the footprint of “His Radio” heard on stations in North and South Carolina.
W250BC is currently Classic Hip Hop “OG 97.9” rebroadcasting 99.7 WWWQ-HD3 Atlanta. That format has begun simulcasting on 98.9 W255CJ and WWWQ-HD2 replacing the simulcast of Alternative “99X” 100.5 WNNX College Park on that signal ahead of the sale. Radio Training Network has also entered into a ten year operation agreement (renewable for another ten years) for Cumulus’ 101.5 WKHX-HD2 Marietta to feed W250CJ, which had covered the Atlanta market on rimshot 93.3 WVFJ-FM Greenville GA, but its signal into the city has not been as strong since its tower was destroyed and rebuilt following a January 2023 tornado.
