2G Media will shut down Sports Betting “InsideTheGame.net” 730 WZGV Cramerton/97.5 W248CO Charlotte NC on Wednesday, June 17.
In an STA filing with the FCC, the company cites severe financial constraints and the station receiving notification from its tower site owner that they intend to sell the land where the station operates from. WZGV operates from the site owned by Bible Broadcasting Network for its 930 WYFQ Charlotte.
The filing says, “WZGV requests authority to remain silent for a six month period as it sorts out its financial situation. Additionally, the licensee received notification from the lessor of its tower site that the lessor intends to sell the land under the tower leased by WZGV. The licensee has not received a date for the possible land sale but realizes that it will take considerable time to locate a suitable replacement site. For this reason, and due to severe financial constraints, the licensee needs to go silent.”
WZGV flipped to Sports Betting on July 1, 2025 after previously running ESPN Radio network programming as “730 The Game“.

Sadly, I believe this also axes the radio deal for the minor-league baseball team nearby, the Charlotte Knights, Triple-A partner of the Chicago White Sox… they’ll ostensibly continue to stream games from the team website…
