Non-profit Future Now Action’s Heartland Signal is acquiring silent 1510 KFNN/105.3 K287BX Mesa AZ from CRC Broadcasting Company through the liquidating agent MCA Financial Group.
Heartland Signal will pay $420,000 for the station, which will become the third market for the company as it joins their Liberal Talk 820 WCPT Willow Springs/Chicago and Brokered Ethnic 1240 WSBC Chicago and recently acquired Liberal Talk 950 KTNF St. Louis Park/Minneapolis MN. A Time Brokerage Agreement will go into effect on July 15.
KFNN went silent in November 2025 for financial reasons. The former Business/Conservative Talk “Money Radio” and sister 1580 KQFN/95.9 K240EU Tempe were transferred to liquidation manager MCA Financial Group last August to sell the stations as quickly as possible to repay creditor Desert Financial. KQFN was sold in May to Ken Brentlinger’s LPFM Broadcasting for $150,000 and is now serving as the parent signal for Rhythmic AC “Mega 99.3” K257CD as KAJM.
Heartland Signal was founded as regional digital newsroom by Newsweb Radio owned Fred Eychaner in 2021. The platform is now operated by non-profit Future Now Action, which also runs political advocacy platform The States Project, the Lawmaker Network and the PAC for America’s Future founded by former New York state Senator Daniel Squadron, Jeffrey Sachs, and Adam Pritzker.
