Ahead of Cumulus Media’s sale of 100.5 WWFN-FM Marion/Florence SC to Radio Training Network, the company is moving a few formats in the market.
WWFN-FM’s Sports programming has moved to 100.1 WQPD Lake City as “100.1 The Game“. The 100.1 signal was home to Sports programming from 2013 until 2021 as “100.1 The Fan“. The move enables Cumulus to retain the simulcast of “107.5 The Game” WNKT Columbia in the Florence market.
WQPD had been simulcasting Gospel “Glory 98.5” WBZF Hartsville. With the loss of 100.1, Cumulus has restored the WBZF simulcast on 540 WYNN Florence which had been Classic Country “540 The Hound“. That reverts the changes that took place last October when WQPD flipped to its simulcast of WBZF.
Cumulus agreed to sell WWFN-FM along with WWFF Huntsville AL and W250BC Atlanta to Radio Training Network in May for $2.45 million. It is expected that WWFN-FM will join the buyer’s Christian AC “His Radio” network upon closing.
