iHeartMedia Rhythmic CHR “105.5 The Beat” WBTT Naples Park/Fort Myers has ended its “Morning Freak Show” hosted by ‘Flyin Brian’ Jameson after 25 years.
The morning show most recently featured Jameson, Nicole Hernandez, and DJ Rifik since the cut of former co-host Brittany Gonzalez last October. Hernandez and DJ Rifik also split the midday timeslot on the station.
Jameson, who also tracked nights on iHeart Classic Rock 100.7 WZLX Boston wrote, “Well after almost 25 of rocking mornings at 105.5 The Beat The Freakshow has been let go from iHeartMedia and is off the air. We were assured it had nothing to do with our performance and we hold no ill will.
What I REALLY wanted to do here was to say THANK YOU! Thank you for almost 25 years of listening to us, coming to our live events and making mornings FUN! We have a LOT to be proud of….amazing ratings, tons of live shows and the most important part has been getting to make you laugh and hopefully make your morning commute better. We have entertained millions of you throughout the years and multiple generations of listeners. I did most of my growing here and you heard it all. From my single days, to growing up and eventually getting married and starting a family, you’ve been there through it all and I appreciate you. You have been as much a part of our lives as we’ve been a part of yours and I cannot thank you all enough. The Freakshow will return someday in some way and I only hope you’re there again like you have been all these years. Keep an eye on this page for more. Big things on the way!”
APD/afternoon host DJ Quest is now listed in mornings with national trackers in all other dayparts.
