Great Eastern Radio launched Classic Country “Backroads 104.3” WJKS Keeseville NY/Burlington VT this morning.
Positioning as “Country Throwbacks”, the station is focusing on music from the 1980s and 90s listing core artists as including George Strait, Alan Jackson, Brooks & Dunn, Reba McIntyre, Joe Diffie, Clint Black, Patty Loveless, Travis Tritt, and Randy Travis.
WJKS had been part of the Country “Froggy 104.3/100.9” simulcast with WWFY Berlin VT, but became redundant after the acquisition of the former “Eagle Country 97.5” WTNN Bristol/Burlington in April, which began simulcasting the duo.
