Cumulus Media continues to shift its regional market oversight. Following Don Boyd’s addition of New Orleans and other markets last week, his former oversight of Fort Walton Beach and Pensacola FL will be transferred to RVP John Lewis.
Lewis will add the two Florida markets to his existing oversight of Huntsville AL and Chattanooga TN. Lewis originally joined Cumulus in 2009 spending time leading the company’s clusters in Albany GA, Pensacola, Lexington KY and Memphis TN. Following an eight month stint leading Radio Cincinnati in 2013/14 Lewis returned to Cumulus to lead the company’s Chattanooga cluster from 2014-17 and then returned again the following year to lead Huntsville. He was promoted to Regional Vice President in 2022 to oversee both markets.
Lewis commented, “I’m honored and excited to work with the Pensacola and Fort Walton Beach teams. Having spent a couple of years early in my career with Cumulus Pensacola, it’s especially meaningful to return. With outstanding teams, great brands, and a strong track record of success, I look forward to building on that momentum and helping both markets reach their full potential.”
SVP Operations Mark Sullivan said, “John is a proven leader when it comes to building a positive culture with a foundation of measurable results. I am pleased that in his expanded role, he will share his deep experience and knowledge with our terrific teams in Fort Walton Beach and Pensacola.”
