One year after joining Connoisseur Media’s “Bay Country 94.5” KBAY Gilroy/92.1 KKDV Walnut Creek and Hot AC “Mix 106.5” KEZR San Jose, Jonathan ‘J Love’ Campbell has exited the company.
He wrote, “After an incredible year in the Bay Area, my time with Mix 106.5 and Bay Country has come to an end. I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work alongside such a talented group of people and for everything we were able to accomplish together. I’m proud of the work we did, the relationships I built, and especially the progress we made with both brands. A huge thank you to everyone who supported me along the way, both inside and outside the building. I truly appreciate all of you. I’m looking forward to what’s next and excited to see where the next chapter takes me. Thank you, Bay Area. It’s been a great ride.”
Campbell joined the then-Alpha Media stations as Operations Manager and Program Director in July 2025 following a thirteen year run as PD/midday host at Audacy Hot AC “Mix 94.1” KMXB Las Vegas from 2012 until March 2025. He began his career in San Jose as Assistant Music Director and night host at CHR “Hot 97.7” KHQT from 1993 to 1995 and later served as PD of KNEV/KWYL Reno and WWKX Providence, APD of KSCF San Diego, Music Director of KMVQ San Francisco, and APD/MD of WKQI Detroit, WEZB New Orleans, and WFBC-FM Greenville.
His exit comes as KBAY prepares to move to 98.5 on Wednesday ahead of Connoisseur’s sale of 94.5 to K-Love.
