As Cumulus Media prepares to close on the sale of the license of 106.7 WWKL Hershey/Harrisburg PA to Family Life Ministries, the Rhythmic CHR “Hot 106.7” brand has begun promoting a move to 96.5 W243BR Harrisburg fed by 93.5 WTPA-HD2.
Owned by Calvary Chapel of Marlton, W243BR has been simulcasting Sports “ESPN Harrisburg” along with 1400 WHGB/95.3 W237DE and 104.1 WNNK-HD2 Harrisburg since 2012. The move will mark the fourth frequency that has been home for the “Hot” brand in the market since it launched as “Hot 92” on 92.1 in 2005. It would move to 93.5 in 2011 and then 106.7 in 2018. The station moved from Mainstream CHR to Rhythmic CHR in April 2024.
Cumulus Media agreed to sell WWKL and 96.7 WLLF Mercer PA/Youngstown OH to Family Life in June for $2.25 million.
