Cumulus Media is selling two more FMs to Radio Training Network.
Radio Training Network will acquire Classic Rock “I95” 95.5 WIXV Savannah GA and Classic Hits “98.3 The Keg” KKEG Bentonville/Fayetteville AR from Cumulus for $2,050,000. The deal is the second between the companies in recent months as Cumulus agreed to sell 97.9 W250BC Atlanta, Classic Country “93.3 Nash Icon” WWFF-FM New Market/Huntsville AL, and Sports “100.5 The Game” WWFN-FM Marion/Florence SC to RTN in May for S2.45 million.
The deal will mark RTN’s entrance into Arkansas. The organization owns Christian AC “HIS Radio” which operates in Savannah on Class C3 91.9 WLFS Port Wentworth. WIXV gives them a stronger Class C1 signal. In additions to HIS Radio in North and South Carolina and Georgia, Radio Training Network operates “The Joy FM” in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, and two stations in Springfield MO.
Cumulus Media will retain the intellectual property to both brands. It also retains three FMs in Savannah in Hip Hop “E93” WEAS-FM, Country “Kix 96” WJCL-FM, and Adult R&B “Magic 103.9” WTYB. In Northwest Arkansas, the company retains six stations: Sports “92.1 The Ticket” KQSM, Classic Country “94.3 Nash Icon” KAMO-FM, AAA “94.9 Radio Jon/Deek” KRMW, CHR “Power 105.7” KMCK, Conservative Talk 1030 KFAY, and Sports “The Ticket 2” 1590 KYNG.
