Morgan County Industries has entered into a consent decree with the FCC with the commission also granting the sale of its Country “Kick 102.9” WLKS-FM West Liberty, AC “B103.7” WCBJ Campton, Variety Hits 106.1 WMOR-FM Morehead, and “Pure Country 106.5” WRLV-FM Salyersville KY that has been pending since March 2024.
The new owners will enter into a three-year compliance plan due to Morgan County Industries failing to timely file their license renewal applications in 2020, fail to file a Silent STA when they were off-the-air for over thirty days, file an STA for operating at reduced power, and failing to upload issues lists and an LMA to their online public files.
The FCC has issued further clarifications for eligible participants and point system selection criteria in the upcoming non-commercial FM translator filing window.
