iHeartMedia Sports “Fox Sports Pittsburgh” 970 WBGG/104.7 WPGB-HD2 Pittsburgh will expand its simulcasts of the Steelers Audio Network’s “Steeler Nation Radio” to 10am to 6pm weekdays from today through the end of the NFL season and three additional hours in evenings.
The new Steelers focused lineup will see former Steelers linebacker Vince Williams and Tom Opferman hosting “The Steelers Blitz” from 10am to 12pm. “In the Locker Room,” which had been airing in that timeslot year-round will move to 12-2pm with former Steelers guard Willie Colon joining incumbent hosts Rob King and Max Starks. “The Steelers Report” with Ed Troup and Brian Batko will follow from 2-4pm, and “SNR Drive” with Wes Uhler and Matt Williamson from 4-6pm.
Three 7-8pm shows will air during the week as well with “The Point After” hosted by Rob King, Brian Batko and Mike Prisuta on Monday nights starting September 14, “Chalk Talk” with Gerry Dulac and Steelers linebacker Jack Sawyer on Tuesdays starting September 15, and “Steelers Preview” hosted by Mike Prisuta, Matt Williamson and Merril Hoge on Thursdays starting September 10.
“Steelers Nation Radio” also airs 24/7 on 102.5 WDVE-HD2 Pittsburgh and all the shows will be made available as podcasts. Fox Sports Radio programming will continue to air on 970 WBGG in all other dayparts.
