Robert Hawk is joining Audacy CHR 98.5 WKRZ Freeland/Scranton and 107.9 WKRF Tobyhanna/Stroudsburg PA as morning co-host starting Tuesday, September 8.
Hawk joins WKRZ from afternoons at Midwest Communications Country “Big Country 92.5” KTWB Sioux Falls SD. He will now join incumbent host Lissa Krahnke starting Tuesday, September 8. Krahnke informed listeners on Friday of Hawk’s return home as he’s a native of the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area.
Hawk shared, “OKAY! Now I can officially talk about it. I got a job on the morning show with Lissa at 98.5 KRZ! That’s right!! Mornings from 5:30-10a so if you’re in California, or South Dakota, or not near a radio, you can listen in the free Audacy app. It’ll be surreal since I grew up listening to this station. So we’re moving back to the Scranton area – if you listen next week, I’ll be updating Lissa with how our move is going. I can’t wait to be back on air soon. Definitely going to have to binge watch the Office once again – so we’ve got our box set ready to go. See you soon Scranton.”
Hawk fills the co-host position alongside Krahnke that was most recently held by Justin Scheman. Lissa has been part of the WKRZ morning show since 2010 first has producer before rising to co-host in 2012. She previously co-hosted mornings at WYSS Sioux Ste. Marie MI.
