Flinn Broadcasting will flip CHR “Q107.5” WHBQ-FM Germantown/Memphis TN to a simulcast of “Sports 56” WHBQ/98.5 W253DF Memphis on Tuesday, September 8.
The move will give WHBQ a full-powered FM signal to compete with Audacy’s “ESPN 92.9” WMFS-FM Bartlett/680 WMFS Memphis. “Q107.5” has yet to reveal whether its programming will relocate to one of Flinn’s other properties, as the station is simply promoting the company’s new “Hub 901 Memphis” app for listening.
WHBQ previously had a long-term simulcast on 87.7 WPGF-LD Memphis from 2012 to 2020.
Flinn does not subscribe to Nielsen. WHBQ-FM had a 0.3 share in the July Eastlan ratings, while 560 WHBQ had a 0.2 share.
