After completing the $450,000 sale of 93.5 W228CJ Detroit to Birach Broadcasting, Beasley Media has pulled the plug on the remainder of Regional Mexican “La Tricolor 93.5/99.1” 99.1 W256EA Birmingham/105.1 WMGC-HD2 Detroit.
W256EA and WMGC-HD2 have begun simulcasting the Gospel “Detroit Praise Network” 98.3 W252BX Detroit/99.9 W260CB Royal Oak/105.9 WDMK-HD2 Detroit. Owned by Michigan Community Radio, W256EA expands the Gospel programming’s coverage in Detroit’s northern suburbs.
The Gospel network had a 0.5 share in the July 2026 Nielsen Audio ratings. “La Tricolor” did not register.
W228CJ has begun rebroadcasting Birach’s Brokered Ethnic 690/680 WNZK Dearborn Heights. WNZK is one of the few stations licensed to operate on dual frequencies with its daytime programming heard on 690, while at night the station slides over to 680.
