Starting at Adult R&B 102.9 KBLX Berkeley, Big Reid will move from afternoons to mornings while giving up nights at CHR “99.7 Now” KMVQ. Reid has been with KMVQ since 2014 starting as an intern before rising to programming and promotions assistant, morning show video producer and weekend host before taking over the night show in October 2018. He added afternoons at KBLX in December 2024. He will join Freska on the KBLX morning show.
AC 96.5 KOIT afternoon host Morris Knight will add middays at suburban AC 101.7 KKIQ Pleasanton.
San Francisco Production Director and KOIT evening host Ileana Matzorkis rises to Regional Production Director. In her new role, Matzorkis will work with the company’s Bay Area stations to strengthen collaboration and enhance audio production across the cluster.
Richie Brown, who was Program Coordinator for KOIT, KBLX, and Hot AC “Mix 106.5” KEZR, will add Music Director duties for KOIT and KEZR.
Exiting with the changes are KBLX morning host Rudy Ortiz and KKIQ midday host Faith Alpher. A local stand-up comedian, Ortiz had been with KBLX since 2013. Alpher spent 21 year at KKIQ.
