After Richard Hudson’s Global One Media filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy liquidation in May, the company is now selling its station assets in Clovis NM and Elko NV to Natalia Hudson’s Aegis Media Holdings for $80,000. The court filings note that the station’s New Mexico offices are currently in foreclosure and not included in the deal.
Global One Media owns Rock “Overdrive 101.5” KRMQ Clovis, Country 105.9 KSEL-FM Portales, Hot AC “Mix 107.5” KSMX-FM Clovis, and Classic Country “Cow Country” 1450 KSEL Portales in the Clovis NM market and Classic Hits “Kool 94.5” KUOL Elko, Hot AC “Mix 96.7” KHIX Carlin, Country “Big Country 103.9” KBGZ Spring Creek, Rock “Overdrive 100.5” K263BD Spring Creek/KBGZ-HD4, Classic Rock “Coyote Rock” 101.1 K266AB Elko/KBGZ-HD3, and Conservative Talk “Talk Radio 107.7” K299AN Elko/KBGZ-HD2 in Elko.
Nancy Whalen’s ELB Broadcasting is acquiring 1440 KPUR Amarillo TX from Cumulus Media for $1000. ELB owns Farm/Country “The Twister” 1470 KDHN/102.7 K274DG Dimmitt TX.
Steven Lara’s Gorilla Broadcasting Dalton purchases Christian “Hope 93.3” 1350 WTTI/93.3 W227DG Dalton GA for $245,000. Lara owns station across Georgia and the Carolinas including 1490 WYYZ Jasper/102.5 W273CT Canton GA all of which operate as Regional Mexican “El Gallo“.
After announcing its purchase of “Giant-FM” 1050 WTCA/106.1 W291BQ Plymouth IN from Kathy and Jim Bottorff’s Community Service Broadcasting back in March 2023, the acquisition has now been filed with the FCC for $257,000. 3 Towers had been operating WTCA via LMA since the announcement.
Tom Kennedy, Dustin Bauer, and David Willis’ Phoenix Broadcasting has purchased Silent 89.5 WGRN Greenville IL from Greenville College Educational Broadcasting Foundation for $3000. Kennedy owns Country 101.7 WGEL Greenville
Translator Sales
After agreeing to sell 88.1 WRGP Homestead FL to Hope Media Group last month, Florida International University sells its two translators to Matthew Agnessi’s Strategic Media Holdings for $360,000. Included in the deal are 95.3 W237CP Miami and 96.9 W245BF North Miami. The buyer recently acquired 93.5 W228DF Orlando as well.
