After signing off at the end of February as part of El Dorado Broadcasters’ departure from the market, News/Talk 560 KBLU Yuma has resumed operations.
Acquired by Derek Egeberg’s Approval Coach Broadcasting LLC in June for $50,000, the station has returned to its previous format including the local Russ Clark Show in mornings from 6 to 9am. The remained of KBLU’s lineup will feature programming from Premiere Networks including Clay Travis & Buck Sexton from 9am to 12pm, Sean Hannity from 12-3pm, Jesse Kelly 3-6pm, Michael Berry 6-8pm, Our American Stories 8-10pm, Coast to Coast AM from 10pm-2am, Fox News Rundown from 2-3am, and Michael DelGiorno 3-6am.
Egeberg said, “Eighty-six years ago, this station was created right here in Yuma as a local voice for local people. Over time, like many great American institutions, KBLU became part of larger corporate ownership. But now the story changes. KBLU is once again locally owned, locally operated, and locally directed. This is more than a radio station changing hands. This is a comeback story. An American comeback story. A Yuma comeback story. A Red, White and KBLU comeback story. And we’re proud to announce that The Russ Clark Show is back on the air weekdays from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM on KBLU 560 AM. That matters because local radio should sound like the community it serves. It should know the streets, the businesses, the families, the farmers, the veterans, the first responders, the leaders, and the heartbeat of Yuma.”
