Days after announcing her departure from middays at iHeartMedia Rhythmic Throwbacks “V101.1” KHYL Sacramento to relocate back home to the Bay Area, we now know her destination as Connoisseur Media has tabbed Mia Amor to host afternoons at Rhythmic AC 102.9 KBLX San Francisco.
During her eight years in Sacramento, Amor first hosted mornings at Audacy Rhythmic CHR 102.5 KSFM from 2018 until 2023 and then joining the iHeart cluster hosting middays at KHYL and roles at “Kiss 107.9” KZIS and Rhythmic CHR “102.3 The Beat” KPEZ Austin TX. Before arriving in Sacramento, she spent four years in mornings at Rhythmic AC “Q102” KRBQ San Francisco and has worked at Hip Hop “Hot 97.5” KVEG Las Vegas and 102.5 KDON Salinas CA.
Program Director Jim ‘Jazzy’ Archer said, “Mia is the perfect choice for 102.9. She’s Bay Area through and through, and that connection is something you can’t teach. She knows the people, the culture and the energy that make this community so special because she’s lived it her entire life. Mia brings an incredible spirit, genuine warmth and a dynamic presence to everything she does. We’re thrilled to welcome her to the 102.9 family and bring her energy to afternoons.”
Amor will debut on Monday, October 19 filling the afternoon slot vacated by Big Reid’s move to mornings last month.
