Seehafer Broadcasting has returned the WLJY calls to the Wausau/Stevens Point market as part of a format change.
Oldies “Kool Gold 105.5” WRCW Nekoosa/Wisconsin Rapids has flipped to AC “Y105.5” with the WLJY calls. The WLJY calls have a long history in the market on 106.5 from 1979 to 2006 and 96.7 from 2006 until December 2011 when the station flipped to as CHR WHTQ.
The previous “Kool Gold” format moved to 1450 WDLB Marshfield.
The new 105.5 WLJY rimshots the southern portions of the Wausau/Stevens Point market.
