FCC Update Translator Construction Permit ApplicationsBridgelight LLC is seeking to increase the power of its CP for 95.1 W236CH Fort Greene, NY from 10 to 99 watts. The translator will cover Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Hudson County NJ from 4 Times Square via Cumulus’ 94.7 WNSH-HD4 (Coverage Map).

Spring Arbor University seeks to relocate 98.3 W252CN Holt, MI to Lansing with an increase from 80 watts at 42.6 meters to 170 watts rebroadcasting 106.9 WSAE Spring Arbor (Coverage Map).

Educational Media Foundation’s 102.9 W275CA Saginaw, MI applies to increase its CP from 2 watts at 112 meters to 13 watts at 121 meters with a move to 92.3 (Coverage Map).

Ben F. Stinson’s 92.7 K224EN Hesperus, CO proposes to relocate to Durango on 92.3 with 250 watts at -269 meters (Coverage Map) rebroadcasting 92.5 KRWN Farmington, NM.

South Sound Broadcasting’s 95.3 K273AR Tumwater, WA currently operates with 10 watts at 95.6 meters, holds a CP to increase to 145 watts, and now applies to increase again to 220 watts at 91 meters (Coverage Map).

A pair of translator CPs licensed to Kimberly, ID seek changes. Edgewater Broadcasting’s 94.3 K232EQ and Radio Assist Ministry’s 97.5 K248BZ seek to shift from 92 watts at 55.8 meters to 250 watts at 205 meters rebroadcasting Lee Family Broadcasting’s 99.1 KXTA Gooding (94.3 Coverage Map) (97.5 Coverage Map). K248BZ will be utilized to rebroadcast the Sports format of 103.1 KZNO Jerome/Twin Falls which will be moving to 970 next week.

Station Changes

Christian “1260 The Word” KLGO Elgin, TX has applied to increase its nighttime coverage from 140 watts to 200 watts. The Austin rimshot will remain at 1kW daytime.

Spanish Christian 93.7 KLSY Montesano, WA applies to adjust its facilities from 32kW at 679 meters to 28kW at 719 meters (Coverage Map).

Lakeway Broadcasting’s 99.3 WNRX Jefferson City, TN applies to adjust from 200 watts at 199 meters to 900 watts at 84 meters (Coverage Map).

With its current Construction Permit set to expire, Elijah Mondy’s 94.5 KJIW-FM Helena, AR reapplies to increase from a Class C2 to C3 with 50kW at 150 meters (Coverage Map) where it will rimshot Memphis.

Habersham Broadcasting’s 99.3 WCON-FM Cornelia, GA applies to increase from a Class C2 to C1 with a boost from 19kW at 246 meters to 100kW (Coverage Map) where it will increase coverage of Atlanta’s northeast suburbs.

St. Paul Bible College’s 90.7 KJZK Kingman, AZ applies to downgrade from a Class C3 with 4.5kW at 218 meters to a Class A with 30 watts at 1091 meters (Coverage Map).

Hispanic Target Media’s CP for 97.3 in Trona, CA applies to move to 95.1 with a slight power adjustment from 285 watts at 453 meters to 290 watts at 450 meters (Coverage Map).

Sales

Riviera Broadcasting acquires the CP for 94.9 K235CB Chandler, AZ from James Bumpous’ Big Bend Broadcasting for $245,000. The 250 watt translator from Phoenix’ South Mountain tower farm will be used to rebroadcast Riviera’s 103.9 KEXX Gilbert. With Riviera owning adjacent channel rimshot Spanish AC “95.1 Solamente Exitos” KVIB Sun City West we can easily see the translator being used to boost that station’s coverage in Phoenix proper.

Suspended Columbus, OH lawyer Percy Squire returns to radio ownership with his Sandblast LP making the $50,000 purchase of 106.7 W294AH Columbus from Sandyworld Inc. Squire previously owned stations in Columbus and other parts of Ohio under the Stop 26 Riverbend name before losing them in bankruptcy. W294AH holds a CP to relocate to 95.9 rebroadcasting Salem’s 98.9 WTOH Upper Arlington.

Immaculate Heart Radio acquires Oldies 840 KMPH Modesto from Pappas Radio for $50,000. IHR will begin operating the station via LMA before the sale closes, flipping it to its Catholic network.

Davidson Media sells Regional Mexican 620 WTUV Louisville to W&B Broadcasting for $325,000. W&B owns Classic Hits 103.5 WAKY Radcliff/Louisville and Country “Big Cat 105.5” WLVK Fort Knox.

Vanguard Media has sold Talk “Rock Of Talk” 1600 KIVA Albuquerque to Edward Aragon’s Rock Of Talk LLC for $350,000.

Columbia Bible College Broadcasting acquires the CP for 101.5 W268BU Mooresville, NC from Triad Family Network for $150,000. The translator will rebroadcast Columbia’s “New Life 91.9” WRCM Wingate.

1480 WYRN Louisburg, NC goes from Johnson Broadcast Ventures to A&D Broadcasting for $185,000. A&D will begin operating WYRN via Time Brokerage Agreement on August 1.

Way Media is selling a pair of translators. 107.1 W296CM Smyrna, AL goes to Alabama Media, LLC for $30,000 to rebroadcast 102.5 WESP Dothan. 107.9 W300CK Double Springs, TN goes to Cookeville Communications for $25,000 to rebroadcast News/Talk 1400 WHUB Cookeville.

KCMB, Inc. is acquiring 106.5 K293CB Baker City, OR from Walla Walla University for $7,000.

The CP for 88.9 Irondale, IL goes from The Dwelling Place, Inc. to Hawkins Communications Company for $10,000.
