97.5 W248BB Hillside/Chicago IL made its flip to Regional Mexican “Poder 97.5” on Monday. Pedro Ivan, former PD of SBS’ “La Ley 107.9” WLEY will hold those duties for W248BB as well as an on-air shift. Other personalities joining the station are Margarita Vasquez, Cristian Ramos, and Beto Carreto.

The Educational Media Foundation owned translator is currently operated by iHeartMedia as Spanish Sports “ESPN Deportes 97.5“. iHeart will now lease programming of the translator and 93.9 WLIT-HD2 to Pedro Segura’s Show Time Media.
Segura is a local business owner who co-founded Prime Dental Manufacturing in 1999. Alfredo Lopez, the current VP/Sales for ESPN Deportes will become GM of Poder. He previously served as GSM for iHeart and Univison in Chicago.
The 250 watt at 348 meters translator operates from the Aon Tower in downtown Chicago.
